Following my problem about dress code for Trooping the Colour- Colonel's review-- 12 of us had a great day on saturday and I have to say we all scrubbed up pretty well. Even the most reluctant tie wearer did us proud. Got to admit I couldn't tell that P William was there. Under a bearskin/busby could be almost anybody and we didn't have a prog. Day was great and would reccommend to all. OH enjoyed it so much we will be Beating the Retreat this week. But not quite so dressed up this time.

So glad you had a good day Pauline. What did you wear in the end?

Hi Noreen.
I have a dress in a very light fabric with lots of earthy colours that i wore with orange beads and a beige jacket.I also took an orange pashmina that came in handy as it was too hot for the jacket so it kept the sun off. No hat for me although there were a few, mainly fascinators. My hubby wore a suit and his regimental tie.
