Hi, we're going for a weekend away (sans children!) to Cardiff on 28/5 - need some ideas for really good restaurant for one evening & perhaps lunch/afternoon tea ideas?
Les Gallois looks rather good.
Thanks.

We have family in Cardiff and go there quite often. It can be quite hard finding somewhere really good, but there is a new Jamies Italian which opened recently, really worth a visit but imperative that you book in advance.

Hi,
I was born in Cardiff not been back for 11 years.

Not sure about good places to eat, have heard the Manor Parc Country Hotel is good. It is just outside Cardiff, if you have a car it isn't far.

I find it difficult to recommend a Restaurant to anyone because tastes differ so much. Some times when the Chef leaves the Restaurant isn't so good etc. Living not too far away from Cardiff I've found the following consistently very good.
"Giovannis", The Hayes
"Le Monde", St. Mary's Street
"Le Gallois". Romilly Crescent
and have had good reports about Restaurants in The Bay. I would suggest you Google "Restaurants in Cardiff"
to get some ideas.

Cardiff.

Have not been, but regarding Jamies Italian, here in Brighton it is superb!

However you cannot book, only large parties can.

You just sit in the bar with a bleeper and wait!

Le Gallois

By far the best restaurant in Cardiff. A very special experience.

Sister restaurant a little less formal, Garcon in Cardiff Bay and If your shopping in the New St David's 2 shopping centre, and want a quick meal BOOF is definitely worth a visit.
