Help!

We live in SW France and want to take a short break in March with our friends - somewhere with a gentle climate, interesting places to see - not too energetic - one of the party will be recovering from major surgery - we are stumped for ideas - does anyone have any suggestions?

This is a cross between Can Anyone Help? and Travel - but your input would be most welcome. (Last year we went to Madeira and before that Morocco - so anything goes!)

Trip in March

How about Majorca? We go there quite a few times a year, and it has everything. Good restaurants, good sightseeing, great hotels not too far from the airport (the one we go to is only 15 mins). Taxis are easy to get so travelling around isn't a problem.

Short break in March

Thank you Noreen - I will look into that - I have been to Majorca, but many years ago, I imagine it would be quite pleasant in March - not too crowded. Probably easy to get to from Toulouse as well. I will let you know what happens!!

Another thought - Lanzarote.
Maybe not an obvious choice with it's nickname of "Lanzagrote" ! Still think it may suit you. The Manrique legacy is stunning, even some roundabouts boost his sculptures !

Thank you Sandra, I will have a look into your suggestion too, that is a place I haven't been to before.

March break

We just got back yesterday from Albufeira old town in Portugal. 10 days of warm sunshine but a bit chilly in the shade, it would be that much warmer in a month's time.
