freezing homemade soups

can anyone tell me how long can u keep homemade soups in the freezer for. I had a vegetable soup in the freezer from june of last year and it went very thin and was separating.

Freezing Soup

I would have thought it would have been ok . Nedds reheating and a really good stir .
Think it would have been better if you posted under Can any one Help section . Think you will get more replies .

freezing soups

I freeze homemade soups all the time with no detrimental effect. Frozen in individual portions they are so handy for the odd quick lunch, reheated in the microwave from frozen, if really in a hurry. I have even frozen soups with cream in which have been ok too. I prefer thick brothy type soups to the thinner consomme type, so can't comment on how they freeze.
