I am about to make Delia's Irish Whiskey Cake and wonder how deep the baking tin needs to be? The recipe says use an 8in square tin lined with parchment upto 4 inches.
My goodness, that took me back. I can remember making that from the Cordon Bleu Cookery Course back in the 70's. Children all grown up now. Not that I splurged Irish Whiskey on them!
Is the finished cake supposed to be 4" tall - in that case you really need the tin to be 4" tall as well.
