Delia's elusive 7" x 11" brownie pan

I have searched obsessively for this sweet thing, as recommended by Delia, with zero success. You name another size and I've found it but... The closest I can get is a 9" square (which gives me 4 square inches more space). I suspect size is really crucial. Has anyone actually got a 7x11 tin please and who makes them?? Thanks in advance

Maybe Lakeland?

tin

Thanks..yes, they were my first port of call! Despite being very helpful with tape measures etc we failed to find a 7x11 sadly.

Hi, they must have made them at one time because I have an old one that measures 7in x 10 3/4 so almost the size you want. But when I make a chocolate brownie I now use a tin measuring 8in x 9 3/4 but it is a little deeper and that did come from Lakeland. I shouldn't say this but I have never made Delia's brownies, the recipe I use is Orlando Murrin's which I got from BBC Good Food website, it has excellent reviews.
Delia's cakes are also 10 out of 10 :o)

Brownie Pan

Have you tried to Google it ? I found this, but it is in the US, I am sure they would ship, depends on if you think it is worth the postage.

7" x 11"

The little bit extra is going to make no difference at all. Just make the brownies (Yum, Yum) instead of stressing about finding the 'perfect' tin.

My mother cooked all sorts of dishes and cakes, and I know she didn't have half the tins I have.

I agree with Welshcookie - the exact size isn't that important!
When I make brownies (not Delia's recipe, I'm afraid!) I often double the amount and just use a larger tin - not exactly double size but it works! If they are a bit thinner (or thicker) I think they still taste good!

I just looked up brownies on this site and in 2 of the 3 recipes the tin size used is 6" by 10" .

Huge thanks to all of you for your encouraging replies! I think I feel a batch of NON 7x11 brownies coming on!!
