Kitchen Scales

Where can I buy a pair of scales that use weights. I have all the weights but the scales they go with are really bashed up and the plastic measuring tray is cracked so would like to buy a new one.
Suggestions please

Hmm. Balance scales are quite expensive. They are in most good kitchen shops, but it might be more cost effective to buy a modern set of scales and use your weights as paperweights.

On the other hand I haven't moved into the modern age yet and I'm very fond of my old balance scales.

Mine are Weylux, I have had them for over 35 years and they are still good, albeit a bit sad looking! I think you can buy the scales on their own without the weights, have a look online.

Weylux scales without weights retail at about £59 , weights at about £18 per set.

I would suggest looking on ebay.

I brought last year a set of scales ibrasco, and they are perfectly balanced for my weights, lbs and oz's - mine cost uner £20 inc delivery.

Amazon sell brand new ones for around £40 with metric weights.

I also have a pair of digital scales - that are add and weigh in design, for both imperial and metric measurements - that i actually got for free, but argos do a very similar set from salter, for just under £20.
