Lakeland tartlet tin

Has anyone tried this? The illustration looks scrummy - piles of fruit on what is probably a custard/curd type filling. I have just made the empty cases and they are dolly sized!! A second go with some left over pastry was marginally more successful. I'm certainly no Delia (or Nigella/Jamie/ANY other celebrity cook) so am willing to think its my pastry to blame but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would love to hear them. I used sweet pastry as I was hoping to put strawberries and cream in them - but I do think the tin would be great for making savoury canapes. Many thanks
