Plate warmers

Keen to know which brand to buy? Or want to share a great purchase with the rest of us? This is the place to do it...

Plate warmers

Has anyone any experience of either the electric type or microwave ones?
Thanks

Plate warmers

Caravanney.... yes, I had the electric one from Lakeland! and as naff as it sounds and despite ridicule from the rest of the family, and a bit from James as I recall, it was a great buy and something I used for many years.

plate warmers

I like my plates warm when serving food but some of my plates have gold or silver on them apart from the denby and like variety. Not only that sometime the oven is hotter than I want for my plates.
Thanks for your advice

Plate Warmers

those electric ones from lakelands look really good.

what a shame i didn;t notice this thread earlier.

and how fab it can cook up to 12 plates.

and as one of the comments says, you can hadnle the pates if you touch the edge sticking out.

I either warm through in the zapper with a rameking with some water in, or put them on the candle food warmer thingymagiggy's and the bottom plate always ends up scolding, and the top fairly cold still (useful for little peeps).

might have to buy myself one of these for my birthday.

I also like the plug in ones. I did have some microwave plate warmers, but managed to break a plate with them in the heating process - not sure if it was my fault or not, but it made me very wary of them
