I'm a complete xmas pud novice so forgive me if the question seems stupid. I have just finished steaming my xmas pud and it's risen above the edge of the basin, probably because I filled the basin up to the edge rather than the line that was about an inch below. Is it going to drop a little like other cakes do? if not how do I securely wrap it for the next few weeks, I obviously can't use the basin lid anymore. Thanks for your good advice!
Put together a layer of greaseproof and foil. Grease the greaseproof and lay it on top of the pudding. Tie around the pudding with string. That's it!!
