Thermomix

Hi everyone I am new to this forum but not to the site. I wondered if anyone has a Thermomix? I have just ordered one and it comes later this week. I love doing Delia's chutneys and christmas cake etc and wondered if anyone has converted any of her recipes for the TM?

Many thanks

Hi, I think Rita has a Thermomix for her cake making and swears by it. I am sure she will give you some good advice.
Welcome BTW, cold you please fill in some details in your profile, it is nice to know a little about where you are and a name etc. :0)

Thanks for that Yummy - I will have a look. I don't know why my profile is not showing any details as they are on there - I live in Australia and have converted all my Thfriends to Delia!

Don't know anything about Thermomix, but welcome to the forum.
Where are you in Aust? I'm in Adelaide and it's good to hear there are other Aussies (well, ex UK) people posting.

Indeed Gerry, they don't advertise it incase it puts you off!!!!

The basic one was about £400 as I remember. I requested a brochuer. The one with additional bits was more.

Thank you, James; it's not for me. Anyway, the "selling point" of all those foods you buy which you'd save on with a Thermomix, I don't buy any of them.

Theromix.

I think its a very clever machine, but its not for me.

Can't see many people wanting one for home use. I cook from scratch because I enjoy it. I don't want to bung everything into a machine and press "go". Luckily I have the time, so maybe those who don't could use it.

On the other side though, it does not look big enough for a commercial kitchen either??

Dont quite see who it is aimed at.

I've read that it costs about $2,000 in Australia and they have sold over 10,000 of them. Can't think why!! But people who have them just love them (according to comments on a website)
James
Maybe aimed at people with lots of spare cash??
