I'll probably get into trouble by the team for requesting this.

But what on line cooks stores do you use.

on mhy old puter i had about 5 stored in my "favourites" and do you think for the life of me i can remember what they are other lakelands.

I am after a particular egg stand.

I don;t keep my eggs in the fridge, and since my OH has done my kitchen, having egg boxes on the work top doesn;t seem to go, so i wanted an egg stand, i can;t see how those chickens work, cos you can;t get many in there, and also you can;t always tell if your using a new or old egg and also as i am a heavy handy clutz, i am sure to break an egg...so a stand would be more prefereabe to me...I know what i want - which is wooden for starters - but i can;t find in m & s tesco sainsburys debenhams bhs lakelands broadstripe or amazon.

so where do you should for something that is obviusly not an everyday item?

egg stand

Hi Sam,

Just googled 'wooden egg stand' and got lots of sites. E-bay and Amazon have some too.

Pro Cook

I don`t know if they have egg stands but I recommend Pro Cook (formerly the Professional Cookware Company.) I have an outlet near me but I have bought on line from them.

egg holder

I bought a lovely "mediterranean" ceramic egg-box one back from France few years back, carefully wrapped in underwear! However I have bought, for friends, nice plain white ceramic one from Lakeland, looks like an eggbox and holds 12. Very neat and nice and not expensive.

Egg Holders

I keep my eggs in the fridge most of the time but have a lovely ceramic egg holder which someone on here bought for me last year in a secret Easter bunny thing. It is so useful for when I want to make cakes, meringues, etc and need the eggs to come up to room temperature. I keep it on the kitchen window sill and love it.

Egg holder

How about a little basket filled with hay or a soft crumpled teatowel to lay eggs in? You could mark each egg with the date as you place it in there. Having 19 hens, I have to keep most of my eggs in the fridge but always keep some out for baking.

Hiya,

I often mix up my eggs especially when i have hard boiled ones next to uncooked ones in my fridge - had a few accidents to say the least.

Not sure if they have egg stands but I picked up some unusual kitchen ware and cool gadgets before Xmas from a website called http://www.salamandercookshop.com, i think that is the web address...

or try googling it.. hope this helps.. Emma

I love your avatar. Please don't change it, unless to something more spidery.
