Thermomix

After reading the soup making discussion where the Thermomix was mentioned, I got interested and googled to many sites where I read raving reviews. I was wondering if it is worth saving up for when you own a Magimix, a hand blender, a mixer, a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, a bread maker and what not.... It seems great for sauces such as Hollandaise and Custard, but using it just for those stir away preparations does not justify the purchase. What do the Thermomix owners and others think? Thanks!

When you've got all those what more could you want? :)

I've got most of those sorts of gadgets (not a stand mixer) and couldn't possibly justify the expense!!

Not in USA

It isn't available here but I do know about it.

It looks fascinating but I don't like to cook in plastic.
Additionally I often make larger quantities.

Does anyone on the list have a Kenwood cooking chef?

Thermomix

The bowl is made of stainless steel, not plastic. They are sold in Canada.

Thermomix

They are sold in Australia, too, but at $2,000.00 a pop I'm surprised that they are!!!
