Loaf tins

I need to buy a 1lb loaf tin but not sure whether to go for the "rounded" corner type or the type which have straight corners. Apart from the look of the finished cake etc, is there really any difference?

I think the rounded corner ones are seamless, otherwise there is no difference IMO.

Loaf tins

On a slightly different note, I make all our own bread and have several tins, mostly "non-stick". I have yet to find one that is truly non-stick and have recently discovered that if I put a loaf liner in (parchment paper ones you can buy in different sizes) it means I can use any of the tins whether or not they are non-stick. The bread falls out of the tins and quite surprisingly is still cooked perfectly with a browned crisp bottom.

1 lb Loaf Tins

I prefer the rounded ones as I think you can clean them easier, although I too use the loaf tin liners, which are great.
