Silverwood 'Delia' loaf tin confusion

Has anyone noticed that in the list of the Silverwood DeliaOnline range the loaf tin is listed as 1lb? This range is designed for an 'everything you will ever need' range to go with the new edition of Delia's Cakes. Every cake in this book which uses a loaf tin calls for, quote, 'a Silverwood loaf tin (or a standard 2lb loaf tin)!!!

Does this mean that the one Silverwood has released to go with the online cookery school and book is the wrong size?

Loaf tin size

The Delia loaf tin made by Silverwood is called by Silverwood and fellow tradesmen as a 1lb loaf pan/tin because it was originally sold to bakers as a 1lb pan as it produced a 1lb loaf.

However many manufactures who also produce loaf pans/tins call the equivalent sized tin a 2lb tin because it actually holds 2lb of wet mixture.

Therefore a Silverwood 1lb loaf tin or a Deliaonline Silverwood tin or a traditional 2lb loaf tin are all the same size.

A 2lb long loaf tin is not a shape that is suited to Delia’s loaf cakes.
