Marble rolling pin

I have just ordered one of these in black, online. Can't wait to get it and start using it. Don't know why I have never bought one before. Probably because I have at least 4 wooden ones.

Janice, they're great; just don't drop it.

Marble

Use mine, which was inherited, sometimes. I'm a messy cook so the chances of breaking it are more than likely if I used it regularly !

Strangely though, use Grans glass pin which you fill with cold water, without a second thought. Love it and still in one piece !

Rolling pins

I will make sure I don't Gerry. My kitchen expertise tends towards cutting myself more than dropping things, so should be safe with marble!
Sandra, you have reminded me that I too have a couple of glass pins. I bought them a while back as part of a collection of old kitchen tools but have never used them.

Rolling pins

Janice - in which case use one !
Not as pleasing to look at maybe but like the fact I can "weight" the pin depending on my requirements.
