Which microwave November 2012

Would like a good combi. Lots of conflicting reviews on Amazon. The most expensive I've seen is £1300. The cheapest is £50. If you have a really loved model or a really hated model, please share!

I bought a Samsung grill/microwave and although it's not what you're after it's ok for me. If you decide on a Samsung check the door as mine is black glass and it's impossible to see into the cavity when it's on so have to keep on opening the door to check stuff.

Microwave.

Personally, I refuse to eat food that has been in one. Awful machines. I do not understand the need for one either.

Just a pointless machine taking up valuable space and one which I'm convinced is not safe either!

No thanks!

After a lot of thinking we decided to go for the Panasonic NN-CT552W combi. All the reviews were excellent for the oven itself but real issues for the door mechanism. Several were buying their second one due to the door. Partmaster sell the door parts for a very small sum so if you know the door is a weakness and are careful and can use a screwdriver if you have to... Curry's and Argos £169.99, Amazon £10 dearer but electrical123.com only £140 delivered to my door -- Wednesday, i.e. the day after tomorrow. Will report back on both the oven and the supplier, but we'll give it a try first -- plan to defrost a leg of pork and roast it on day one.

I'd agree and thought about it. The one I've ordered is the slimline, and does have the turntable, unfortunately. If we had more space and normally fed more mouths we'd have gone for the other one. I haven't yet been let down by Panasonic kitchen equipment and I believe that it is actually made by Panasonic rather than just any old stuff bought in and badged.
