Hello all, This is my first post on Delia online. My question is about Christmas cakes. I've never made one before but was planning on making them as gifts this christmas - so naturally got My Delia books out! But I notice that it says to use either an 8 inch round tin or a 7 inch square tin. In my kitchen I have the opposite - a 7 inch round tin and an 8 inch square tin! Is there any way I can still use this recipe but using my own tins? Preferably the 8 inch square one, as I need to be able to cut it into equal chunks. Thank you very, very much!
Click on Information Centre on the left and you will find a chart for sizing cakes. 8" square is there.
