Scales (bathroom)

ok, not technically food related - but sort of.

i have never owned a pair of bathroom scales before - and been told to (ordered) to loose weight.

choosing scales is a mine field - do i opt for digital or mechanical? been trawling amazon - none seem to have 4 or 5 stars, they all seem to have comments about varying degrees of weight - just 5 mins after stepping on and off.

can anyone recommend a good not too cheap - but not really expensive set of scales.

thanks

Bathroom scales

I was in the same predicament as you - lose weight. I bought some Laica scales from a shop here called Eurospin although I've seen them elsewhere. They were quite cheap about 7 or 8 euros and mechanical. After all it's not that important how much you lose as keeping track that you are losing weight. The figures are black against a white background and making them easy to read. If I've missed anything out that you want to know let me know.

Good Luck

bathroom scales

a few months back i bought solar powered digital "Slater" scales for the same reasons. I find these type of scales easier to use because you get one clear reading. Just make sure you weigh yourself first thing in the morning (at your lightest) because you can put on extra fluid weight during the day and if you are anything like me that can fluctuate between 1 - 5 pounds. I used to have difficulty reading my old scales as the dial window was too small and my eyes couldn't focus on the lines very well and I kept having to turn the side wheel to ensure it started on 0. I bought my slater scales for £10. Good luck with your weight loss and do keep in touch with your success and for any support/encouragement.
Regards, Julie
