what baking sheet?

Hi I bought a mermaid baking sheet hoping that I could use it to teach my grand kids to make pancakes

Delia made Canadian pancakes on the oven using a baking sheet

My sheet buckled I was using a ceramic Hob

Any one any advice on what sheet that I should buy

what baking sheet

Do you mean like drop scones?

I'd use a large flat frying pan, because they are easier (because they have a handle) & stuff can't run off the edge (which is what happens when you bake with kids) - and with a flat tin I'd worry that they were more likely to burn themselves by touching the edge. Or even a crepe pan - they are larger & flatter?

Pancakes

I think what I call a baking sheet would be too thin to cook anything on the stove top.

In Wales we have bakestones which are ideal for this sort of thing. Worth tracking down if you come to Wales on holiday. A souvenier which will never wear out!

bakestones

Are they the same as (non-ridged) griddles? And what you make welsh cakes on? I'd like one of those ...

Bakestones

Yes, but I don't know if they are suitable for all heat sources.

Sorted

Hi all Delia's how to cook arrived today and I looked up the Canadian pancakes I got it wrong Delia did them in a frying pan my memory failed me after watching the programme but never mind my two grandkids made chocolate brownies and toad in the hole as well as pancakes we had great fun and after 3 days of them being away I am still coming across flour and sticky finger marks

I did check with the shop and they said I should return the baking tray that I had bought as it should not have buckled thanks to all
