Keen to know which brand to buy? Or want to share a great purchase with the rest of us? This is the place to do it...
I use my oven timer an awful awful lot - almost every time i cook - even for hob useage, i find it invaluable. However, I am moving soon, and the new oven is very very basic, has 2 knobs, one for temp and one for oven or grill. its not even fan assisted, has no clock on it even.so i am on the search for a good decent kitchen timer - have seen a couple on the lakelands site, but the reviews are not that encouraging.I don;t mind digital at all, with a fairly loud bleeper, and that times at least 2 hours.can anyone recommend a timer?
I love my kitchen timer Sam - it's actually two joined together and they can be used at the same time. Can't see a name on it so will look to see if I can spot it on Google.
Maybe you should be buying a new oven, Sam?!!!!
I've just realised that my digi-radio (which sits on a kitchen shelf) has a timer. It can be switched from sleep timer to kitchen timer. I do have an oven timer and another mini thing that I bought in Lidl though that only times up to an hour. Also have a timer on my phone so they're all handy when timing multiple items simultaneously.
that's exactly what i thought Sonya!!!
There's a snazzy Alessi one in The Shop Sam! http://tinyurl.com/83azwcpAnd you will earn epoints.....
oh thanks Noreen, it does look snazzy.i was thinking more along the lines of a digital one - i do have my eye on in amazon, has mixed reviews, but i shall keep on looking.
Elpe, I think you have a thing about time! My failing is measuring accurately. I dare not count up the number of measuring jugs I have! From tiny to 3 litre. Plus cups and spoons.
I bought this one from Amazon recently and think it is very good. I preset 3 timings used frequently and leave one for different times. Good loud alarm too.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kitchen-Cooking-Bedroom-Countdown-Minutes/dp/B00237S1XG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1330873251&sr=8-3
have a look at this one... I bought 1 a couple of months ago and it does the job.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0039V7ZC8/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Sam - I know you say you want a digital one, this looks quite good, although you have probably bought one by now.http://tinyurl.com/6u44xj3
