Daffodils

I have got Daffodils, poking there heads up from the soil, about 2 - 3 cm in height - ALREADY!!!

I have re-buried them this morning, by emptying some pots that had tomoatoes in over the tops of them.

and I have one stray Gladioli just about to burst into colour too, next door still has dahlias in full bloom.

weird weather.

Dahlias

Yes, some of our dahlias are still fab - huge, too. But storms are on the way acc. to BBC weather. Trouble is the dahlias need so much support with their stunning blooms. Wish their stems were a lot stronger. I've discovered that if I cut the bent-over flowers leaving just a few inches of stem, they'll last for ages stuck in my hanging baskets with the pansies. Looks like cheating, I know, but they look great!
