Wild Geraniums

I asked advice on these last year, and most members recommended Johnson's Blue. I am finally going to buy them this week, but does anyone know how far apart I should plant them? Just so I know how many to get. Thanks.

Geraniums

They grow like Topsy ! Johnsons Blue is a star, all of mine are now flowering. About half a metre apart but don't buy loads as they are so easy to divide.

geranium johnsons blue

agree it is a star!!-i've always thought it was a bit of a cliche- just a name that was trendy as i'm always seeing it planting plans- but i planted one myself last year -its such a gorgeous blue and full of flowers (unlike some of the other geraniums i've planted)
i've decided my next bit of garden i plant will include lots of this, combined with white peonies and black/dark purple iris- gorgeous!! :-)

Wild Geraniums

Oh that's good to know, our garden is soooooo green, with the odd dash of yellow, so I am really making an effort this year to get some colour in it.

Look for Buxton's Blue as well, really pretty, paler flower than Johnson's with a white centre. The leaves are dappled with white flecks too so very lovely .
