We know many of you are keen on gardening, so here's your latest plot: dug over, weed free and ready to sow the seeds of new ideas...
Isn't it typical, I looked at the mint I planted last year - not a sign of it; the following day I bought a new pot, repotted it to a bigger home and put it outside the back door. Lo and behold the last years roots had put up several shoots in that time. Do you think it was having a laugh at me, or did it just want a companion? :)Karen

My mint has only started sprouting the last fortnight. Think the heavy winter was responsible for making it a bit shy!
My last year's pot of mint living near the kitchen extractor (warm) has gone nuts over the last two weeks. But no sign from the garden patch yet. Still, everything's going to go for it if the current weather holds.
Keep it in a pot, once planted in the garden you will rue the day !
I so love that expression, it's at the end of 'Withnail and I', one of my fave films.And you're right too - when mint gets a foothold it's very hard to eradicate. Best thing to do is eat it up :-)
