We know many of you are keen on gardening, so here's your latest plot: dug over, weed free and ready to sow the seeds of new ideas...
Hi, would like to ask for help regarding a problem we're having regarding cut flowers. We do like having them in our flat but for some reason, it seems to attract fruit flies especially if the flowers are more than 4 days old.Does anyone have any tips on how to avoid attracting the pesky pests? Many thanks in advance.
http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Fruit-Fliesjust interested and saw you hadn't had a reply yet so googled it- this has lots of ideas to get rid of fruitflies- i can't help but think that some of the 'traps' might attract more flies but there was a couple of suggestions that might be useful! do you think they are attracted to the water after its stagnated for a couple of days? maybe cleaning out the vase and freshening it up every couple of days might help xx
Many thanks for your suggestion- it must be the stagnant water. I'll definitely try this when I get another bunch of cut flowers.
