We know many of you are keen on gardening, so here's your latest plot: dug over, weed free and ready to sow the seeds of new ideas...

Chelsea Flower Show

I've attended the above a few times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed looking at the indidvidual gardens, picking up ideas from them etc. This year I watched on TV and not sure if it was my imagination but most of the gardens would have been very expensive to recreate. I read in the Press they were around £40,000 each. Amazing though the Show has run for 100 years and I'm sure it will run for another 100.

I've been going every year since the early 80's and always rushed home feeling I had more ideas that I knew what to do with. Mike used to dread me going because it meant more changes.

The gardens have become more and more spectacular with every year. I went may be three years ago now and said that was the last time I would go as I really didn't feel that I was inspired in the same way. I found I spent more time rooting about amongst the plants in the marquee than looking at the gardens.

I now prefer the RHS Spring Show at Malvern as it's more for Joe Average.

I agree with your comments Honey. Much prefer Malvern but haven't been for a couple of years. It's easy to get to from where I live but quite a bit of walking to do once there. I used to go to the Spring and Autumn Shows and thoroughly enjoyed them.
