Upside down Planters

Has anyone tried these?, I bought some last year and everything just got bashed to pieces by the wind. Maybe they should have been hung up in a more sheltered place; but if anyone has had success with them I would be interested to know.

Not sure what these are! Haven't had any experience with them, sorry - perhaps you can explain a bit more?

Upside down planters

We've used ones made for growing tomatoes upside down. Used them for the last 2 years and they have worked well with lots of toms(tumbling varieties) but think you can use ordinary toms. They are grown under our pergola though which has plastic roof so very sheltered, don't think they would last long completely outside with us, as we live at the top of a windy hill. x
