Flour

I am currently spending some time in Turkey and once again (having also lived in Saudi Arabia) I have difficulty identifying the flour. I have just found wheat flour which states it is ok for baklava pie and cake but they do not seem to have plain and self raising. Do you recommend I presume the everyday flour is plain flour and use it as such. I am not the greatest cook and do not need much to put me off trying to produce food! Thank you for your help.

Hello Kompressor,

I would assume that it is plain. Can you also get baking powder or cream of tartar and bicarbonate of soda? Then you could make your own self-raising flour.

Thank you for your quick response. So far I have found corn flour but none of the others however I will continue to search. Once again thank you.
