Chasseur casserole heat setting

Lindsey

I have a Chasseur casserole and I am wondering, because of its remarkable heat retention, if there is a general rule whereby you set the oven temperature a few degrees lower to remedy the products extra heating ability?

For emrys

Hello emrys,

As far as I know the heat settings are the same as for any other casserole.

I guess you could remove it sooner from the oven and its heat retention properties will continue to cook or retain the heat of the contents for longer than many other types of casserole as long as its still above 63 degrees when you serve it.

Best wishes,

Lindsey
