Steam ovens

Have you used one? I grow and prep veg and fruit I am keen to find out more from cooks who use them ,There quite pricey so it needs to earn its keep.

Hello Sarah,

I don’t have any experience of domestic steam ovens. At the football club we have a commercial steam oven and the chefs can cook fresh produce very quickly with fantastic results. We also have many combi ovens, which use steam and circulated hot air, which are great for many things but the chefs don’t use them for sponge cakes.

Perhaps you could try the Can Anyone Help forum to see if any other forum contributors have one.
