Muffins

Out of curiosity, Lindsey, when making muffins and you have the 'wet' and 'dry' ingredients does the sugar go in with the wet? I've wondered about this for a while and have never remembered to write in to find out until today and that is only because I've just made some!

Muffins

Hello Wendy,

I hope you are enjoying those freshly made muffins.

We add the sugar to the wet ingredients.

Oops!, sorry, Lindsey

I missed out the vital word, it should have read WHY do you put the sugar in with the wet ingredients!

Muffins

Hello Wendy,

I think its because when you add the sugar to the liquid it dissolves and then the overall mixing process is quicker when you combine the wet and dry ingredients.

Best wishes

Muffins, thank you

Many thanks for the answer to my question.

The 12 muffins have all gone, considering they were made yesterday and there are only two of us!

I was going to make them with Craisins then realised I have used them all except for a few so threw some sultanas in instead.
