Mozarella cheese

How can I stop this cheese from forming large lumps when I add it to a pasta sauce?
And what is the best way of getting it out of the stainless steel pan scourer?

For Theresa Poulter

Hello Theresa Poulter,

It is best to add Mozzarella to a pasta sauce right at the end of cooking the sauce and just stir it through gently.

For the pan, I’m sure there are probably many ways but I would discard the pan scourer and next time scrape the bits off the bottom of the pan with a wooden spatula then leave the pan to soak in soapy water. Then drain of all the water and use a piece of crumpled foil to scrub any remaining bits of cheese before going in with a washing up brush.

Best wishes

Mozarella

It is much easier to stir the cheese into the pasta and by-pass the saucepan.
