Is the onion tart suitable for freezing? If so, what are the guidelines for reheating using an electric oven?

Thick Onion Tart

Hello Oliver,

This tart does freeze but it will be slightly wetter than a freshly made one. If you do freeze it I would defrost it completely then warm it through on a baking sheet in an oven at 180C for about 15 - 20 minutes.

Another way would be to bake the tart case and freeze it and cook the onions and freeze them, then on the day you want to serve it defrost the onions and warm them slightly, spread them over the baked case, add the egg mixture and cheese then bake as the recipe.
