Christmas chutney - Allspice

Just about to cook my Xmas chutney and find I only have one jar of Allspice which weighs less than an ounce.

Can I ground some or all I have that will be good enough instead of boiling in muslin, 3ozs? If so, how much should I grind?

Hello Amanda,

I think that’s a good way of extracting more flavour from the allspice. I would crush the once and put it in the muslin bag.
