Reheating Onion Tarte Tatin

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me - do you know how or if it is possible to re-heat Onion Tarte Tatins?

Ideally I would like to make them during the afternoon and then re-heat just before serving.

Thank you!

Jon.

Red Onion Tarte Tatin

Hello Jon,

I would do as you suggest myself. Just make sure you turn the tarte out when it has rested for 20 minutes (or it may stick fast!). I would keep it on a baking sheet, out of the fridge and perhaps cover it with an upturned bowl when it is completely cold.

Best wishes

Re heating

Hi Lindsey,

Thank you for your reply - but my question is how do I reheat them?

The puff pastry / the onion / the sticky sweet sauce - how will re-heating affect these elements?

I'll do a test any way but interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks again for your time and help.

For Jon

Hello again,

I would make it exactly as the recipe says then heat it on the baking tray (that you have turned it out on), uncovered, in the oven at 180C for about 10 – 15 minutes.

Best wishes

Great

Hi,

Thanks a lot - especially for getting back to me so late.

I'll have a go this weekend and let you know how it went!

Jon
