Rich chocolate mousse

I tried to make this mousse tonight but disaster struck! The recipe says to beat the egg yolks into the hot melted chocolate but as soon as I did, the chocolate seized completely. Have ended up throwing away 300g of dark choc and 6 eggs aaargh!! Should I have left the melted chocolate to cool for a while first? The recipe says to do it whilst the choc is hot to cook the yolks a bit and then leave to cool for 15 minutes. Have got to redo in the morning for a dinner party tomorrow night so any help would be greatly appreciated please! Thanks, Cat

Yes, the chocolate was too hot. The chocolate should be just melted; no more than tepid.
