Light Christmas Pudding

Hello!

My aunt makes Delia's light christmas pudding every year, but this year I'm going to try and do it myself.

What I was wondering is how long it will keep for? Normal christmas puds keep for up to a year - is this recipe the same?

Thanks!

Light Christmas Pudding

Hello Natasha,

The light Christmas Pudding needs to be kept in the freezer (I would say up to 3 months) and taken out of the freezer late in the evening before the day that you want to serve it.

Traditional Christmas pudding will keep for ages from a ‘safe to eat’ point of view but Delia says from a ‘taste point of view’ there is a limit and she prefers to eat Christmas pudding about 6 – 8 weeks after its made. Then anything left after is best kept in the freezer.

Best wishes

Lindsey
