can somebody please tell me how to stop fruit dropping to the bottom of a fruit cake.

Fruit in a cake

Make sure it is absolutely dry.

Make sure it is not too big, such as whole cherries. Rinse cherries, drain dry and cut up.

Make sure the mixture is not too slack.

Toss the fruit in flour before you mix it in.

thank you for your help i think you were right i think my mixture may have been a bit stack i did toss fruit in flour, but i will try again. many thank upsydaisy.
