New cooker what to choose

Hi I am thinking about re vamping my kitchen but am horrified to learn that the choice of ovens has diminished so much over 20 years. Current,y I have a Maxol double gas oven large efficient and great for cakes and built in so good height.

Can someone please advise me can you cook good cakes in convection ovens? I have heard this is impossible as they disturb the air put in the cake by mixing etc. Also new ovens are so tiny. Compared to mine. I ideally would like a combination of a gas oven and convection.

Thanks

New Cooker

Hello Susan R,

Delia and I both live in areas that are not serviced with a supply of gas so all our recipes are tested in electric ovens using a conventional heat setting. Our ovens are multifunction so we can select fan heat etc. However this is never used for our testing and development.

I hope this helps.

Lindsey
