I don't eat cheese have people got any suggestions for replacing cheese in receipes - sometimes its easy to use a white sauce but it would be nice to have some alternatives - thanks

Hello Lynn267,

I think it depends on what the cheese does for the recipe.

If it’s for a crunchy topping you could do dried breadcrumbs dotted with some butter. We often use the Waitrose Cooks ingredients breadcrumbs, or you could make your own. Which could be mixed with herbs or spices.

Cheese is often quite salty, so if you want to add some salty flavour to your dish or sauce you could add salty ingredients such as chopped fried bacon, chopped ham, capers, olives or anchovies.
