Swiss roll

Hi,
I have a baking tray 12x8x3.
Can i use such a deep tray (2-3 inch deep) for baking swiss roll?

Swiss Roll

My Mum always used to say " what will hold a lot will hold a little" so the answer would be a yes from me, use baking parchment to line it or silicon paper and it should just slide out.... enjoy, perhaps let us know how you get on ?

Swiss roll

Good morning Susan,

I haven’t ever made Swiss roll in a tin of these dimensions but I think....

...It would be awkward to line
...Likely to overcook
...Not very easy to turn it out neatly
...Difficult to roll

If you can get hold of a Silverwood Swiss roll tin or similar I think it will serve you well for many years to come.
