Cofffee essence

I have just finished my little bottle ofcoffee essence for sticky toffee puds. I cannot find it in any of the supermarkets. I know I could use camp coffee but prefer the essence. A last resort was Lakeland today so cannot think of any other place to get it.

Coffee essence

this is what bbc says..

Coffee essence is a concentrated form of liquid coffee sold in small bottles in the baking sections of most supermarkets. It’s used as a flavouring for cakes and icing. Camp coffee is a type of instant coffee syrup made from sugar, water, coffee essence and chicory.

so i was wondering if you had a fairly large tesco ro sainsburys to try looking in the baking section, where they sell food colouring/glycerine/vanilla essence, in those little tiny bottles, rather than in the tea/coffee aisle if you was looking there.

or try amazon, and type in coffee flavouring - about the 5th one done - shepcote - and you may be able to get free super saver delivery.

or use camp.

The recipe I use for sticky toffee puddings (Yummy's on this site) uses vanilla essence instead and they taste great, so why not substitute if you have no coffee essence?
