Sunflower oil

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

Sunflower oil

I can now buy sunflower oil in a local supermarket and having seen a fair number of recipes containing it, I am curious to know what the pros and cons are using it as opposed to other oils. I realise it's lack of smell and flavour would be a plus for cake recipes, but would be interested to hear your views and advice regarding this oil.

Sunflower oil

It is interchangeable with any other oil. For some frying use oil and butter together; it won't burn so easily and you will get a better flavour. Or add a knob of butter at the end.
