Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...
I really want to make the chocolate marbed energy bars that are on this site and also in one of my favourite cook books at home but they require a tablespooon of Molasses syrup, which I can not find in any shop. The only place that seems to sell it is on Amazon in America.Does anyone have an alternative to this or could let me know where in the UK this could be purchased, it would be much appreciated.
I've got a jar of this in the cupboard(Meridian Brand) which I bought from our small local independent health shop. What about using black treacle instead, I've done this before. foxy x
Any wholefood shop should sell it; mine's made by Meridien. Or, as foxy says, use black treacle, which is sweeter.
You will get "Black Strap Molasses" in Julian Graves, That is where I had mine from in the UK.
