Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...
Any good recipes using it? My local continental food shop sells it and of course I couldn't resist buying some.
The only Smetana I could think of was the famous composer but Googling reveals that it's a type of cream along the lines of crème fraiche but more sour. Several recipes available there too. Thanks - a new word for me!
