A kind of Basque

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

A kind of Basque

Really like the look of this recipe but trying to get the sauce for it is proving very difficult, I think the sauce is probably called Whole cherry tomatoes and roasted vegetables, but I can't find that either.

Chicken basque

I would have thought you would have been able to buy Sacla sauces in most supermarkets or if you're having difficulty finding it maybe a delicatessen will something similar? Have you tried looking for Sacla on the web, that might be of some help

Dressed-up chicken

It's no good; I've been sitting on my hands, but I have now given in! Does this chicken wear fishnet stockings with her basque? - I assume it is a hen, because if it was a cock it would have to wear spurs. Is this the sort of Basque that is worn as underwear, or is it meant to be on show; and does she go out clubbing on a Saturday night? Can we be introduced to this hen please Norman?
