Cucumbers from Spain

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

Cucumbers from Spain

Just to be on the safe side I'm not buying/eating ones from Spain. Threw half of one out yesterday which was in my salad box in the frig. My smoked salmon sandwich didn't taste the same without cu. Just wondered if I'm being over cautious?

Cucumbers from Spain.

Firstly, the two places that were suspected have not exported any to the UK so no need to worry here, and secondly, the latest info on the BBC site now says that the Germans are not even sure its anything to do with cucumbers...........

Or Spain apparently, and now Spain are considering legal action now against Germany, according to info from a friend ! Well they couldn't have chosen a richer country to take to court :)

I heard on the news that Russia has stopped cucumbers and tomatoes arriving there. Is it going to affect all salad things now? What about fruit? I also heard they were organic so what did they do or not do to them to make people ill? If it is something in the water, wherever they come from, surely it will affect other things that are grown?

I'm off to make a Spanish strawberry pavlova!
