What to do with finely ground semolina?

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

semolina

I 'googled' recipes using semolina and pages of them came up, so you could try that.

Personally I use it most in gnocchi and shortbread.

Semolina

Thanks for that. Really like the idea of using it as a topping on roast potatoes.

Semolina

Delia uses semolina to coat her fantastic Louisiana Crab Cakes in the How to Cheat book.

Nigella also has a recipe (although this doesnt really need a recipe) to coat potatoes in semolina for roasting to give a really good crunch. (although my husband actually broke a tooth - he's not a fan...)..

Semolina

Agreed, google semolina recipes and Josceline Dimbleby has lots too. She does an amazing tarte tartin style dried fruit tart with a semolina pastry.

fine semolina

Use it to scatter on your baking tray when cooking home made pizzas - they never stick and it gives a lovely texture.

I'll probably be banished to the cellar for this but I l-u-r-v-e semolina pudding. With homemade raspberry jam or cinnamon and brown sugar sprinkled on top or, as my Austrian penfriend's mother used to do it, with grated chocolate on top.

It's made from durum wheat so could you use it for making pasta?
