Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

please can anyone answer this question i am cookin a dish and i have added chilli powder like i always do but put just a touch to much what can i add to calm the hotness down of the chilli

Not sure you can calm the dish down, but serve it with a cucumber raita or any yoghurt sambal.

You could try adding yoghurt to the dish itself, or, if you have a stack of time, make the whole thing again without chilli and then mix the 2 together.

Or invite some really macho men who won't dare to admit they can't cope!!!
