Dundee Cake - Ingredients

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

Dundee Cake - Ingredients

In Delia's Cakes it states 50g butter; I would just like to check that this is the correct amount? When I used to make the cake from 'Delia's Complete Cookery Course, using the creaming method, the butter used is 150g.

You have correctly spotted a typo in the first print run of Delia’s Cakes. It is 150g butter not 50g.
